About Me
My name is Patrick Miller, but you can call me Pat. I’m a board-certified orthopedic PT and have been practicing since 2017. My credentials are below.
But first, I’m guessing you want a physical therapist who understands what you’re going through and where you want to be. Who’s as passionate about health and wellness as you are. That’s me.
Fitness is a part of who I am. If I can’t exercise, I don’t feel at my best—you know that feeling, right? Being out in nature is therapeutic and rejuvenating. From school sports to marathons to backpacking the Appalachian Trail, I’ve battled my own pains and injuries.
And—as you know—those pains were nothing compared to the physical and mental burden of inactivity that came with them. Of not being able to do what your body wanted and needed to do.
From this, my passion for working with people to improve their lives through exercise was born. There’s nothing like helping you heal faster, get stronger, and train smarter. Together, we’ll boost your recovery and get you back to kicking butt outside ASAP.
Okay, now the professional spiel:
I graduated with summa cum laude honors in exercise science from Towson University. Afterwards, I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. And later, specialized in orthopedics.
After working for many years in outpatient orthopedics and home health assisted living facilities, I have a well-rounded perspective and take a comprehensive approach to your care. Both jobs taught me a lot; they showed me the full spectrum of health throughout all ages. And they taught me what happens when you stop moving effectively.
I’m sure we share some similar frustrations with the current state of healthcare and insurance. The roadblocks, obstacles, and difficulty in accessing quality care for as long as you want it.
You shouldn’t have to “push through pain” or be prevented from pursuing your passions.
That’s why I started Step One Physical Therapy: to simplify access to the care you need and deliver exceptional treatment. (In some cases, it’s delivered right to your doorstep!)
